You drive the Dodge, not the title!
Q: Are all of your cars salvage? Why do you buy them??
A: No! Some are clean title thefts. Others are dealer trade-ins. We clearly state at the top of each ad what it is. We buy theft recoveries because our customers want deals. Five years ago we wanted great deals and discovered theft recoveries, and in the process we convinced ourselves of their value -- the owners and employees drive them! Even Dennis's and Roger's mom drives a 2006 theft recovered Lexus!
Q: What is a salvage title?
A: It's a brand put on a title, almost exclusively by insurance companies, to note when a car has been deemed a "total loss." A total loss occurs when the insurance company pays out the value of the car to its insured. Insurance companies pay out the value of the car to the owner when it is stolen. Therefore, a brand of "salvage" is then placed on the title.
Q: I've heard to not buy salvage title vehicles because they're bad cars and cannot be resold. Is that true?
A: Certainly some are bad. However, with our years of experience, we know the difference between the good cars and bad ones. When we get a bad one, we simply sell it wholesale -- it never makes it to this site. Both Roger and Dennis drive salvage title theft recoveries. Roger loads his children in a salvage title from theft Toyota Matrix daily. We believe in these cars.
As for resale, that's simply a question of price. If you own a salvage title Ferrari for $10,000, you will have no problem selling it. In fact, you'll be able to sell it in 3 minutes on your local street corner. You'll be able to sell the vehicle you buy from us because you will buy it for FAR less than it's clean title, often worse condition, equivalent.
Q: Why is this Dodge salvage?
A: Insurance companies must declare a vehicle salvage from an accident when there is a total loss, but they have discretion with theft vehicles. Many insurance companies choose to salvage all thefts, regardless of condition, as a policy to avoid liability; this Dodge is such a vehicle.
Q: Was this Dodge in a wreck?
A: No! Unless otherwise stated in the ad, professionals have examined this Dodge and have concluded it has not been involved in a major, salvage-level accident.
Q: How do I get a loan/insurance on a salvage title vehicle?
A: To be driven on the street, get a loan, and have it insured, a salvage title car must be converted from a salvage branding to "restored salvage." A restored salvage title is issued when the state inspects the car and deems it to be safe and road worthy. We do not anticipate any problem passing an inspection, and we guarantee that it will pass Arizona inspection. Please note that most lending institutions will not loan on a salvage or restored salvage vehicle. Your best bet is a local credit union. If you need financing, please secure it before making an offer. We do not offer in house financing (yet).
Q: I'd really like to get a loan and/or drive the vehicle home, but you say it's still salvage, so how can I do it without having the title restored?
A: We will be happy to take the vehicle down to motor vehicle for $200 and get the vehicle a restored salvage title. We leave the title salvage in case the buyer would rather do it themselves. Please note however that you cannot drive the salvage title car away: IT MUST BE SHIPPED. If you pay us to restore the title, then it can be driven. It's up to you-- very easy either way!. That said, most banks and many credit unions will not lend on a restored salvage title vehicle. Please contact your preferred lender for their policies.
Q: Can it be driven?
A: Only after the title is converted to a restored salvage title. (please see answer above!) The Dodge cannot be driven until the title is restored.
Q: Is this really a good idea?
A: Wheel Kinetics has two cars for business use-- a 06 Acura TL and an 05 Toyota Matrix. Both cars are restored salvage and similar to this Car in their histories. And both cars have provided years of service without an issue. You can go to the dealer and pay thousands more.... or you can buy our Car for much less and enjoy the same Car ! Q: What about resale? Won't I get really hurt when I try to resell the because of the salvage title?
A: No! First, the primary measure of a vehicle's value is the known condition. The second is the vehicle's history. The salvage title is the effect of the vehicle's history, not the cause. While the Dodge is in good condition, it is substantially discounted because of its history. If it wasn't subsantially discounted, you wouldn't be reading this -- you would have moved on long ago. In other words, the discount for the history and title is already built in to our price. When you sell this , you'll sell it at a similar relative discount to the "clean history" market, and you'll find someone -- often many people -- who, like you, are more interested in saving money and driving a great vehicle than paying more for words on a piece of paper (title). We often hear of our customers making money, or at worst breaking even, after driving their vehicle for a year!
Q: Why doesn't Wheel Kinetics restore the title before sale?
A: Some of our buyers are very experienced with salvage title vehicles, and they can save money by having it inspected on their own. We can restore the title for $200, or you can do it on your own, so long as it is towed from our property and not driven on the street.
(Other dealers hide this until the very end. Not us).

Maintenance: Unless noted in the "Repairs Made" section above, we do not perform any maintenance. That includes all fluids, air filter, etc. Several years ago we changed fluids, but buyers thought the new fluids indicated that we were hiding something. Silly, in our opinion. But the sentiment occurred enough that we stopped with fluid changes. We do check all fluids for the proper amount.
Vibrations: Cars and trucks vibrate, especially used cars and trucks with 168868 miles. We note vibrations whenever present, and you can watch our great driving videos for particulars. Most vibrations are caused by tires (second being brakes from warped rotors, third being driveshaft). In an ongoing effort to keep our vehicle prices down for customers, we often sell vehicles on bad tires. That allows you to choose the best size and quality for your application (we can put you in contact with our tire shop and receive our discounted pricing). However, vibrations are vague and very subjective. It is nearly impossible to troubleshoot a vibration over the phone given the subjectivity in the description. Therefore, we must disclaim all vibrational issues. Please assume that this Dodge will have a vibration.
Guarantee: We are the only dealership to not bind you by contract if you decide that you do not like the vehicle after it arrives off the shipping truck! If you purchase sight unseen, you are welcome to take the vehicle AFTER THE SALE to any mechanic, body shop, etc. of your choice within the 1 day and 50 miles! No one else gives this level of customer assurance. However, we will only refund the full price of the contracted amount and take the vehicle back -- we will not pay a lesser amount to fix parts or repay your costs, like shipping. (Ultimately, you either like the buy or you don't) If you view the vehicle in person before paying, the above does not apply -- you must inspect to your satisfaction before paying. Guarantee also does not apply when the customer orders us to preform custom work over $300, like a Bulletproof EGR.
Driving/Description Video: This ad contains a video where we describe the vehicle further and give you close ups of various features and issues to give you, the buyer, an in depth and personal look at the vehicle. By making an offer, you agree that you have watched the above video, the descriptions in the video are part of this agreement, and you accept the video representations in full.
Snapshot Graphics: The star ratings in the "Snapshot graphics" are not to be relied upon as a true representation of the vehicle's condition. The ratings are highly subjective, thus no bidder can rely on any portion of the graphic for ANY REASON. Instead, please use the written representations under the respective Interior, Exterior, and Mechanics snapshot graphics that describe the condition along with the pictures.
Payment: $500 NON REFUNDABLE, unless the buyer personally inspects the vehicle and rejects the sale, deposit due on acceptance of our offer. We accept credit cards online using 256bit EV-SSL encryption, Authorize.Net security, and Wells Fargo Merchant Services. Full payment is due within 7 days of the auction's end. Credit cards CANNOT be used for full payment. If either the payment or deposit terms are breached, we may relist and/or void the sale. Certified funds only. (This means no Capital One "blank checks," Ebay funding, or any kind of bank draft as they take weeks to clear.)
Vehicle Pick-up: Your vehicle may be picked up in person by appointment M-F 8am-5pm, PLEASE NO EXCEPTIONS. The hours apply to both in-person pick ups and shipping pick ups. Professional shippers do not need an appointment, they only need to arrive between 8-5.
Taxes and Fees, Arizona Residents: Sales tax (8.6%) and $250 doc fee.

Taxes and Fees, Non-Arizona (U.S) Residents Taking Delivery in Arizona: Pursuant to Arizona Revised Statute 42-5061(U), out of state buyers that take delivery in Arizona will pay sales tax according to their home state's tax rate, plus 2.0% for city tax, AND a $250 doc fee. All customers who take delivery in Arizona will receive a voucher showing taxes paid in Arizona to avoid being double charged by their home state. Licensed dealers do not pay sales tax.

Emissions: We guarantee our vehicles to pass Arizona emissions. However, with 49 other states and 49 other sets of laws, it is impossible for us to guarantee 50 state compliance.
Inspections: Personal inspections allowed by appointment, but with our industry leading WORRY FREE GUARANTEE, pre-sale inspections are largely moot. We also allow pre-sale dealer inspections at the buyer's cost
Forum Selection: In the very unlikely event that any dispute were to arise concerning this entire transaction, Arizona law and jurisdiction will exclusively apply, venue Pima county.
As-Is: The car is sold as-is with no warranties expressed or implied, including the implied warranty of merchantability, or any guarantees for any purpose, unless expressly modified by the terms and descriptions above or law.
Offer Assumptions: Because these vehicles often sit idle, the battery becomes low and dashboard lights appear. Assume when bidding that every dash light will be on when the vehicle arrives. Also assume that all vehicles do not have a spare or tools, keyless entry, antenna, radio, manuals, or service history unless pictured. One key unless pictured. Cruise and CD players are not tested, and HVAC tested when weather permits.
Theft Cars: All cars are reasonably inspected, and we think that our feedback speaks to our accurate disclosures. We closely inspect the engine/powertrain of the car and frame, and we typically drive each car many miles to give a great description and deal. If we see any issue, we put it in the ad. However, there may be latent, undiscovered issues in areas outside of engine/powertrain and frame present in recovered theft vehicles. This heightened purchasing risk lowers the price and creates a potentially incredible value. The thousands of dollars that you are saving compensate you for potential, though unlikely, undiscovered issues.
